Has anyone here used a service to help you find a new job? I’m looking at one where they source and apply for jobs for me. They’ll also help me rework my resume, LinkedIn, and other materials, as well as interview coaching. I’ve been looking for a new position on my own with no luck for the past 6 months. The downside of this service is they charge a commission based on the salary for the job they place you in. Thoughts or advice?
Converted my summer at a low/mid BB in the ECM team, however now been offered an analyst role at a MM PE firm (~$1bn AUM). Although my team at the BB is far from prestigious I’m just looking to hear some other opinions before I accept the PE offer, one thing catching me off guard is that most of the IP come from non-MBB consulting backgrounds so I’m wondering if this is really a good exit. I’d be taking about a 10% pay cut compared to IB but progression to roles with carry is open.
Does anyone have thoughts about Yelp BizOps as an exit? Just saw a job posted on LinkedIn
Interviewing at a Series B startup based in San Fran. BizOps role. 3 YOE. What should I expect from a salary and TC perspective?
Is labor/workforce planning a promising field? Im a hr consultant at EY rn, but im more interested in data driven works. I am hoping a labor planning role would eventually get me to data analyst/business analyst at a tech firm.

Let's reflect. What have you found to be the best WFH tips? What have you learned about yourself / others during the pandemic? What have you learned about leadership/ working with others? Overall, what works and what didn't?
Fellow renters whose leases are up soon, has the extended WFH situation prompted you to reconsider where you want to live? E.g. might you move to a neighborhood that’s further from downtown but gives you more for your money?
Ladies, how do you keep yourself physically together during WFH? I feel like I’ve let myself go completely and I just realized my husband probably feels the same. What are you ladies doing with hair, nails, makeup, wardrobe, working out, etc?
Howdy fish, currently interviewing at KPMG for a associate role in major projects advisory. I’ve gone through the phone screening and the interview with 2 directors. Next interview is with 2 SM. What kind of questions can I expect in that interview?
Do companies like amazon, Google or msft allow you to propose changes to offer letter terms or clauses like non compete? I’m wondering if I should review the offer letter with my attorney. If they aren’t flexible, I don’t want to spend $$. It’s for a senior tpm role if it matters.
Thinking about quitting for an industry role. How much of a payrise should I ask for at the start of the negotiation with new employer? How large is negotiation figure vs. actual rise I am aiming for?
Question for managers/HR involved in hiring... to what extent do you receive LinkedIn InMails (a feature on LinkedIn Premium) where applicants reach out and attach their resumes? Effective or spam??

I have an offer from Capgemini Bangalore for Senior Consultant role. May I know how is the company Policies and any general comment from anyone has on the company. Also, is the unique to Capgemini to offer 3 months notice even during probation?
Was hired into a company at a level that was more junior than my skills (Was out of work due to pandemic for a year). I’ve been at the company 5 months. We’re going through a reorg and my new position will really be leveraging my years of experience more so than other role. Is it appropriate to discuss a raise/adding senior to title? Or should I do the job and then prove myself then talk about raise. I have more experience than the senior members of my team. New leadership than when I was hired
What was your journey to partner? What events shaped your career path to becoming partner? Did you go to industry at any point? Go from big 4 to mid market or other way? Would you change anything?
Any recommendation of good apt for rent outside of city limits? I will be WFH often so no need to live in the city proximity such as Arlington. Looking for around $1,200 for 1bd 1 bath
To all my SDRs/AEs/AMs/BDRs that are out there, I’m running an experiment that I’ve never seen before: Have you ever worked together with a teammate to close your company’s deals? I’m talking start to finish of sales process, from cold call to closed booking. I’m curious to know if folks always tackle calls by themselves, particularly intro calls, and beyond. Obviously there has to be a handoff at some point, but where is that inflection point? Trust is probably THE most important rapport
This may sound odd but I want to eventually work at all the big 4. To me it'll be like collecting infinity stones. Once you work at all 4, what crappy super power do you get? Currently 25% of the way there
Remote work- Day 1, Hour 2: As an extrovert, I am going to die with no people contact! Maybe I can teach my cat to talk 🐱

I have worked on several text analytics, OCR type of projects. Also did compliance and fraud models. I am looking for a switch, is FAANG too ambitious or may be MBB Analytics Consulting?

There's mention in the news about a possible coming new executive order on immigration. No details yet. I'm myself a nonimmigrant since 8 years, and while I've been very little impacted so far by all travel bans, restrictions and additional bureaucratic hurdles to date, this is the first time for me and my family that we start to feel fearful. If there's always a next uncertainty, always another possible sudden end to our current daily work, school and private lives, how long is it all worth it?
Is TAS/FDD just glorified audit? What exactly is it like working in this line of business? I’m considering applying to jobs to transition into it but I don’t want to be falsely sold into it the way I was with audit. Also, does it provide better exit ops than audit?
