After 10 years shaping young minds, I'm feeling the burnout. The endless paperwork, standardized testing, and dwindling resources have taken their toll. I'm ready for a change, and government work seems appealing – better work-life balance, benefits, and the chance to make a broader impact.

With my Master's in Education, I'm thinking roles in curriculum development, educational policy, or program management might be a good fit. But I'm open to other possibilities too! Has anyone made a similar transition? What roles did you find suited your skills? Any tips for navigating the government job search with an education background?

I've been a dental assistant for 11 years , and I think I'm done . I feel the pay is never enough and 9/10 we do the most work in the office . It's never commensurate to what we do and no matter how much experience you have your still 3-5$ more than someone fresh out of school . Joined in Oct for SAP functional. Now one manager who interviewed me reached out that there is a training material developer project which will start on 20 nov for Oracle timeline is 2 months only and SAP projects are in pipeline there was one coming but no guarantee if its final and if it has to come it will be in this month because in dec new projects do not onboard. I have worked on oracle in the past but now am fully into SAP. Should I take this project or wait until Jan for SAP project?

I am an senior associate at a small (8-10 attorneys) immigration firm in NYC. My base is 110k and I get 30% for the cases and clients I bring in. My revenue was 370k last year and I did 250k till April this year.

My issue is, I have so much firm's work that I have hard time to work on my cases/clients. It feels like my cases are supposed to be done after hours (like after 6 pm). My work hours are crazy. I feel this is unfair and since my firm's taking 70% of my sales. Should I ask for a raise?
