How does everyone here feel about preworkout? I used it for the first time yesterday and the energy kick is what I need to settle into a regular routine! But I don’t want to be dependent on it, supplement mfg can be sketchy, and it’s just another thing to add to my routine… thoughts to help me out?

I use it on days where I feel low energy. I only go to the gym 3 times a week on top of martial arts so sometimes I take it once a week, sometimes twice. Definitely helps get it done. Just find one that doesn’t have horrible ingredients or even use half a scoop instead of a full scoop.

Love it. Been using it for years but I taper and change strengths. I have a rotation so I don’t become super dependent on it, 3 weeks on 1 week off.

Objectively my workouts are significantly better using it than not.

Nah, long story short I don’t drink coffee for reasons. This is my only caffeine for the day

I love it. Started for the creatine but it's just easier to have pre workout rather than just creatine.

Now THIS is the kind of advice that’s super helpful for me. I’ll admit I’m short on sleep these days which I need to address :/ and dehydrated. And trying to eat better but it’s a long journey. You know I think you might’ve unlocked a very obvious situation that I wasn’t looking at the right way before 😂

How far in advance do you drink this, especially if you do a morning workout?

I usually only use it for leg days, only problem I have with it is that it makes me super shakey after I’m done working out (yes I’m eating too)

You get a big kick the first couple times, then it fades with regular use. So I just use it when I need a boost.

Prefer not to use as I try to keep my caffeine intake low, but definitely can help you if you need that “kick”

If I need a burst of energy, I just grab a handful of almonds / walnuts / cashews, or a couple squares of dark chocolate, and drink a glass of water. That almost always gives me the boost I need for the workout

I don’t drink soda or coffee so I do use a pre workout powder before going to the gym. I found one that’s on the lower end of caffeine content and it has been good for me. If I drink it past probably 5:30pm, I often have a hard time falling asleep.

Ive been using botox fairly consistently for 10 yrs and m happy with the results. However, for financial reasons Im thinking of taking a break for 12 months to save the extra money.

Girlfriend has very obvious high functioning anxiety and body image issues that she admits but thinks she doesn’t need therapy or medication and that reading self-help books will help her. They reduced the therapy questions on the secret clearance form so that you don't have to disclose therapy except in specific circumstances. Is it still on the TS form?

I didn't apply for a job that would have set me up for the future in the government. I wouldn't have to worry about money or future jobs. My boss had just given me a small pay rise and talked up the future and so I felt good. I now severely regret not applying for the job and cannot stop thinking about it to the point of insomnia and depression. I even contacted the employer but too late. It's a small town and rarely anything comes up. I hate myself and feel like I failed my family. :(

Anyone here struggle with drinking enough water every day? Growing up, I drank a lot of soda and fruit juices but since 2020, I’ve been trying to be one of those people who always has a water bottle. They say you drink some when you first wake up but I never have a taste for it and then never remember to start drinking until about noon.

Okay — diets & weight loss. What have you seen that actually works? I exercise almost daily but realize my portions and food intake aren’t perfect. I do not want to track cals or macros as that caused me to have an eating disorder. I have an OCD personality.

Grind my teeth a lot, have a mouth guard. Looking for other alternatives and apparently Botox is really effective.

I’m relatively new to working out. Just joined F45 and love it! Wish I got into it sooner. So I’m good at pacing myself thru out the workouts and not over exerting myself. I was considering doing it every day of the week bc I love how I feel after. Is that overkill? Genuinely curious
