So here’s the thing if you can do it on the down low it’s amazing. If you have to pay eu taxes you’ll be pretty unhappy. However living costs even in Paris which is one of the most expensive cities in Europe is still far from a US hcol area. Directors max out at like 200k in Europe for example which is not that amazing in the USA
Anything over 100k is an incredible salary in Europe and it’s extremely common in us consulting
Not quite true. Comparing nyc LA with Paris… nah it’s cheap. Even comparing with Amsterdam it’s not quite as expensive
Why would that be crazy. Sounds super fun - enjoy
France is a great place to destroy your career. plus, with the spectre of war haunting europe, it's better to stay away.
but if you make enough money to dance your way around garbage and rubble and enjoy summer escapades in the south, why not.
Totally in France being fucked is a national sport.
We fucked up pretty everything from industry to GDP, from careers to people continuous training.
« Fucked up in France » should be a label 🤣
Not sure if it would be copied worldwide tho…
As others have mentioned, just make sure you understand the tax implications — personal and for the company as you may impact their tax liability too
If the company allows it and you are willing to pay French tax rates and miss networking opportunities? Sure.
Crazy ;) first of all you will have Robles with getting a working visa - and tourist visa will have problems renewing after a few months.
Time difference will kill you - informed for us company from EU amd gave up after 5 months because I could find a similar offer in EU without having to do long US Nights (sometimes till 3 am local time)
I would say 100% do it. You only live once and it’s really cool to travel in europe - you feel like so many parts of workd (continents) are suddenly accessible and it’s so easy to get around
