Have you been fired before even starting your new job?

I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee. I've emailed them with questions as I'll be re-locating to NL and it takes them 1-2 weeks to reply. Given all that's going on in the world, I'm worried they might fire me before I even start.

Laid off with 1 YOE. Do I include college Awards / Extracurriculars (have just one line to list each right now) ? How about SAT scores?

I joined a corporate firm as a multi year experienced paralegal. It seems however that I am not necessarily welcome by other paralegals in the Dept., a few negative comments to partners about me. Obtaining assignments feels much like a popularity contest. Any advice on overcoming the negative vibes? My fear is that there is a negative reflection about me and the managing partner doesn't seem open to me, even though I haven't had the opportunity to work for him or the others yet.

I’ll be asking my last job for a letter of recommendation but I’m not sure who to ask. My boss, who is lovely and would write an amazing LOR. Or my boss's boss who would put minimal effort in but it would have more weight.

How do you handle difficult partners to work for? Like the ones who will tell you to research a b and c issues in an area you have no experience and then ask why your summary doesn’t include x y and z? I don’t have capacity to be his research assistant when I already have a full plate but don’t know how to tell him that

What should I ask a new potential employer on an interview?

I guess it’s starting, was just pulled off a proj due to “limited resources”. Hearing there’s a hiring freeze across the industry. I’ve only been employed for a year, are we all about to get laid off?

What do higher ups think of staff that voice their opinions on their scheduling, career path, etc? Am I better off being a pushover like most of my co-workers or discussing stuff?

I am giving my resignation tomorrow, but I’m nervous because I am not giving them the standard 2 week notice. I do not plan on ever coming back, and the management team has been awful to work with, but I still feel guilty. What would be the best approach to let them know, should I meet with the two managers and director face to face, or send an email?
