Note of caution. Monday morning travel doesn't mix well with a client site team who are all morning people. I'm on my third cup of coffee and I still can't catch up with these people.
I wish every Sunday could feel like this. When you've just rolled off a project and in the pleasant shade of some beach time
Still wondering what would happen if I honestly comment on the capabilities and opportunities at a client site during my review discussions.
Working the politics on a project where the client has some internal beefs going on between some stakeholders. I’m essentially being asked to take sides. Not sure how to engage or disengage?
When the IT "experts" at your client office spend the first 30 minutes of every meeting figuring out how to sort columns in excel
I have the option of staying on a tech project that I don't like for 4 months, or roll off early and try to get on an interesting strategy project that starts in a month. Should I take the risk?
Does anyone else out there feel the need to listen to Hawthorne Heights because their project makes them feel emo?
I'm starting a four month project in Detroit starting Monday. Like if you're jealous of my jet-setting lifestyle.
Managers that essentially do nothing all day but claim their "guidance" is crucial to the project.
The client doesn't do their easy task for 2 months- but the day after the client asks you for a massive, complex deliverable & it isn't final yet, they freak out. #doublestandards #goaway
Cause I'm not really serious until I ask a client a third time for the same data they said is "easy to get"
How did a project failure (that had consequences for the client) affect you? How did you feel, and how were you able to move on? I feel like I'm watching all of my hard work go right down the drain...
Client drops a proposal today #fml
When the client sponsor asks you to move today's meeting to tomorrow. I was supposed to fly home in 3 hours. 😞
I wouldn't dream of brushing my teeth, or dancing with my Swiffer during a face-to-face meeting with my client, but during a conference call? Oh, hell yeah.
#NewYearsGoals promotion via curr SM, then travel project->airline status->monthly wkend adventures (i.e. Actually living). If I'm working Mon-Wed night as it is, may as well be on the road w/ perks!
test on 1.1.5!

Today feels like the longest day in a while
How appropriate is it to walk to work in boots (not particularly fashionable) and then change into business shoes in the office? Does this work for client as well as office? Just office? Live in NYC
Anyone have a bank account that’s pays decent interest (that isn’t well known)? I have about $110k in a Barclays account at .45%. It’s my emergency fund and down payment so want to keep liquid (planning to buy a home this summer) but seeking a better return, if possible
I’m in consulting to try multiple projects/industries and figure out what to specialize in. By what age/level do I need to figure that out by? It seems that you can’t be a true generalist forever and have to specialize (whether in type of work and/or industry) regardless of whether you exit or not.
If a male is expecting a kid with multiple women at different times throughout the year, is he eligible for pat leave each time?
Drafting my resignation letter. Was thinking of something short and sweet. “Dear colleagues, I’ve never been a fan of long good byes. Best, Director” Any edits? Notes?
What are the exits out of pwc ddv preferably not another consulting firm? I feel like I am stuck here and not learning any new skills. Diligence is better but I hate the PMO nonsense.
Is it ridiculous that I got called out for missing something small on my notes from a meeting three weeks ago, today? It did not effect any action items
