I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). The general rule of thumb for a mortgage is 28% (primary residence) of gross income. My firm switched up their process and now instead of nice size raises it’s large bonuses. So getting increasing my gross income doesn’t really change unless I include my bonus which is obviously a variable. Is their a recommended approach for these scenarios? Maybe use agi on tax return instead of gross income?
