*Anyone ever. Dammit why cant we edit yet!? Grrrrr
Taking data science class now. My company refused to reimburse. Nice thing is that I don't need to pay them back when I got a better offer partway through the course and left. Don't know about the data analysis course, but data science is intense, but well worth it if you have the time to study outside of class. And the networking opportunity is key.
yes! was covered/reimbursed and thought it was very much worth it. took a visual design course (as an AMP) - it was a nice creative outlet at the least. instructors were all great
I took the User Experience Design Immersive back in 2014 OOP and it was definitely worth it for me! However, I'm not sure if I'd recommend it now as much as I did back then, the school has changed a lot.
Leo Burnett covers 75% of any approved courses.
Yes :) sounds good! Education would be a good investment no matter what. I also heard that many company also have the policy that if you leave within 12 months of the tuition reimbursement, you need to repay the company the amount reimbursed to you.
I took a few classes at GA and found it to be worth the money. Company reinbursed with manager approval.
I did once yes company expensed for me since it's only $100. I took a class called programming for non-programmer. I would say very helpful but the class flow design was a bit a hectic. It went literally went from what is easy coding to writing interactive java script in the end. I was able to write it but used teacher's help. It's 4 hours class and I think only 10% of people stayed till the end. I guess it might be a weekday nights everyone is tired.
Thanks! Im looking at the more involved certificate program for analytics that cost upwards of $4k. Eep. I know we max out on $7.5k for reimbursement, wondering if they'd cover it
I think maybe talk to HR first to find out the policy. Tuition reimbursement in my company needs approval from my boss and final approval from HR.
@mediacom That's already in the works. More concerned with if people though the coursework was worth it in general. Ill be going whether its covered or not.
