Hello there. I have been interviewing with Okta and got through all 5 rounds of interviews. They say they want to offer me the job but there is a global freeze for all marketing roles at the company. Hi all! I was asked coordinate a local happy hour for my team. The issue I’m having is that I’m currently pregnant and am not sure if I’m comfortable to hang out with strangers. What’s the most professional way to say no without hurting feelings / burning bridges? Or should I suck it up and go?

I can’t keep up with the pace of consulting. Is there something wrong with me? Is there room in this world for someone who just wants to slow down?

Looking for some advice on a career change. I work in a technical role and have well-developed soft skills. I want to transition to UX (w/ focus on accessibility). There are a lot of UX educational programs out there, some very new, e.g. Dribbble, and costs are all over the place - General Assembly is $15k (and full-time), CareerFoundry almost $8k, and then many others at a fraction of the price. Reviews also vary wildly. Are these more expensive programs worth the huge increase in cost?

I recently discovered the "Just Thinking" podcast, dealing with social and cultural issues through a Christian lense. Started with an episode recommended by a friend, then just HAD to go back to episode one and start listening all the way through. So appreciate the work the Lord is doing through these gentlemen.
