Any firms willing to hire retools right now? I’m looking to transition from transactional. Currently at a top shop in Houston.

Retool into what practice area and from which? Finance is relatively hot and I’d think would be open to retools at some firms.

I’ve heard that. Only problem (which doesn’t make the advice any less true) is that it only postpones things even further. Earliest start for a clerkship would likely be late summer early fall 2026.

Also what is your grad year?

My firm might be interested, but it’s black box comp. I expect to make a little above Cravath but YMMV

F. Similar position. I’m in EBEC primarily focused on deals with some LE and ERISA litigation experience. Trying to pivot, as a 4th year, away from deals to exclusively litigation. I rather enjoy LE litigation.

How much CTC should I expect in my switch as a Data Analyst or rather according to the market standards what should an ideal CTC be for a person with my experience.

My joining date would be after my notice period which is usually 2 months.
Should I share the person details and form 11 they asked for now itself?
Will it be a problem if i don't wish to join the company later

I’m a 4th-year at a midsize firm doing mostly oil and gas work, but I’m looking to change practice areas so I can get away from a dying/morally problematic industry and move into EC/VC, Corporate, tech transactions, and/or privacy and cybersecurity (have CIPP/US & /E). I’m not having much luck with recruiters or applying directly to firms and companies, so I’m thinking of hiring a career coach to help me hone my applications, cover letters, etc. Any suggestions?

I wasn’t sure which bowl to solicit advice from so hoping to catch a bite here. I’m currently in ID. Of course, I want OUT! My interests are L&E and corporate. My options are 1) wait it out where I am in hopes to switch to L&E or 2) in house oil and gas industry transactional work. What would you do and why? I figured this bowl being specific to Texas would understand importance of oil and gas industry.
