I love the Nicaragua beans from Java Vino. Taste great and only $12 per lb
If too acidic you might need to try a darker roast, or a higher brew temperature. Javavino beans are decent for the price point but if you’re willing to spend more like $16-$18/lb I think there’s some better options. What area?
San Fran coffee is nearby and has good beans
I love Peach coffee roasters for my espresso machine. Making almost only americanos at home for which I prefer their dirty south blend that is a darker roast. Can get a great subscription with always very freshly roasted beans. They also have a store up in Johns Creek and also sell it at a coffee shop in Buckhead.
What machine did you get?
Same here, great “entry level” machine, had mine for around three years and works like on day 1 and makes great coffee. Eyeballing the Seattle Coffee Gear but can’t justify moving on from the current setup yet lol.
I am an aspiring home barista! Do you mind sharing which espresso machine you got? I’ve been reading and researching a ton and still not sure which way to go. Coming from a regular ‘ol drip coffee pot seems like the choices, and prices, are endless.
I went with the breville express. After reading the forums, there are definitely better value / better espresso setup, but this seemed like the easiest to use given the built in grinder and has good aesthetics in the house
Docent is great!
Love Cloudland Coffee!
Oooh I am glad you asked this OP because I also got an espresso machine and have been trying to figure out what the best kind of beans are as well. I have been loving making coffee at home and trying out different coffee beans.
