Getting remote ANYTHING right now is tough, but that doesn't mean it's not possible, just have to stay motivated to find it and set yourself apart from the competition out there (which I'll admit is a little tough without experience), but again... anything is possible, but prepare to work hard for it!
Thank you for the direction and information. I do have lots of work experience, just not in the Data Analyst role, yet. Currently finishing up an Advanced Google Data Analytics Certification and working on Deep Learning and Prompt writing for AI chatbots.
In consulting or “regular” business sure, in medium-large tech a lot more challenging
A lot of companies would expect decent excel/spreadsheet skills along with any newer higher tech skill sets
Depends on he pay level.
You will definitely have a hard time looking for one right now. Almost all the companies are back to full-time office set-up. You seldom see job offers for remote roles. And if you do, you will get a dissatisfying offer at that.
This. 👆🏾
I've seen data analyst roles posted on Indeed, looking for little to no experience. Some are remote. Some pay $20 or $30 USD per hour. The roles are there, but the pay is low based on the candidate's job experience. The roles are there, but you're not going to be able to get $40+ per hour right out of the gate. If you're satisfied with having that lower pay, it would be a good role experience to further your data analysis skills. We all had to start at entry level at what we love to do. Well, most of us anyway. A few of the lucky ones were born with a silver spoon.
Keep building up your knowledge outside of any job role as well.
Good luck to you!
Probably a bad idea to start as a data analyst remote unless you're a genius. Ideally you'll be in the office for a year or two and have experts mentor you in-person
Depend on what tools are used. Can definitely learn sql and power bi on your own. Can YouTube most things
More on Data Analyst REMOTE role...I would think that having LOTS of various industries "hands-on" experience in a variety of other positions would generate interest. Why? Because realizing what is important in specific job roles could help better inform the analysis as well...
