We don’t have a transparent pay model or salary bands, we pay based on experience . Directors can make a lot here. If you made me give you a range, I’d say a director total comp package can be anywhere from 250-400k. In general no one here is unhappy with their comp here. How many companies can you say that about?
Appreciate the diligence and follow up!
From my perspective the culture is fantastic. We have a no asshole policy and we seem to really go by it. If you are not a team player, you don’t last. Very careful in the selection process. We value hard work, team work, innovation and results. There are some partners I would march into hell for.
^ 100% agree our model is better and there’s is misaligned. That said I have no real idea how potential and performance is measured for us.
Tell you what, I will take our pay model over yours any day. I know if I perform, I know what my pay will be based on billable hours. I don’t know how to tell you this but I am way north of $500k and let it go at that.
I know PEPI at A&M well and they have a very very transparent pay model with standard base salaries and bonuses based on billable hours. Other practices may be different.
A&M incentives are misaligned. The more you work = the bigger bonus? That's a straight line to burnout. We compensate based on performance and potential - not exactly transparent but I've been happy with the bonuses I get.
Wrong. Performance plays a big role. Better performance, the bigger the payout. We get results where most do jot
It’s better than getting burn out without any incentives, where there is no real difference between someone, who is 80% utilized vs 120% utilized.
@PwC1: So...is your point that A&M has a better comp model than Alix? Are you trying to derail our recruiting efforts here with OP?
...do you work at A&M?
^ is that for PEPI? What’s a PEPI director make, if not? That’s a decent amount of cash. I only ask because I had a PEPI offer at one point and know different groups pay differently.
Yes PEPI
Any idea why I can't see A&M responses?
Here is what I see!
Maybe it's an Apple Android thing. I'm on Android and there is no reply feature.
Ok, updated my app and I have Reply feature now! Still no DMs though.
A&M1 -- how many hours do you work a week on average? How's culture there? More collaborative? Competitive? Is there leverage on projects typically?
