Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. In KPMG I will work with partner where as in saama I will work with project/program manager. Please suggest your opinion. Saama KPMG KPMG India

I still practice, but I'm seriously considering making an exit. I think you have to follow your gut. Medicine is far from the only profession that pays the bills, and there are endless meaningful ways to help others.
Was in a similiar spot as you after medical school, I finished residency and now work in consulting. It’s definitely nice knowing I can go back to a stable medical career, especially given this market. All that to say I’d recommend finishing residency and once you have the license go explore
What type of consulting are you doing?
And are you an independent contractor?
How'd you make the change? I have a flyer for a conference for non-clinical careers for physicians, but that's a ton of money and time for them maybe just to tell me to network...
I stopped practicing after 15 years. It wasn’t right for me. In my new work, I have fantastic health insurance, benefits, salary and bonuses. It was scary to change, but I took time to network on LinkedIn. Also, there are professional benefits to finishing residency even if you never practice as an attending.
What are you doing now? I want to transition at least to non-clinical. TBH, when i was 90% admin, it was just as bad / burdensome, plus the bitterness of having to pass mess down to other providers to watch them suffer.
