Proceed with caution. Sounds like it will be a niche role where the brand name is the main selling point. But it will be low impact, low visibility, high burn work. And you will probably make significantly less than core consulting resources. Nobody in their right minds would pay MBB cost for SFDC implementations.
SA1 - I can totally understand where you’re coming from. On average, I work 40 hours a week at BCG. I gave the 40-60 range because you never know.. there may be a hard week here and there on high visibility cases.
I can promise that you’ll get the opportunity to work with really cool people and really cool tech. The great part about this role is that you’ll stretch across multiple technology stacks because Salesforce isn’t the center of the universe for most enterprises. E.g., designing integrations into SAP, creating an identity management strategy with Okta, etc.

Didn’t know BCG did salesforce implementations. Interesting
It’s MVP/POC work and strategy work. No end-to-end implementations.
Preference on NAMR West Coast. It’s a remote position with some travel.
I'll bite I hit all of those qualifications including architect certs!
Any chance I can apply to this from Toronto? 😅
Boo, not available in Toronto
TC?
Big difference is level of experience. Both can be considered leadership roles (mix of individual contributor with some people leadership - depending on the project).
WLB is very reasonable. Not the road warrior consulting at all.
Hours per week? Most self respecting architects top out at 45 hours per week.
It’s MBB. Depending on the case, you are looking at anywhere from 40-60 hours a week. Again, completely depends on the length of the case, the deliverables, etc. This comes with the territory of working at a top tier consulting firm.
I’m not an architect but very interested to learn about what Bcg does in the Salesforce space. Can I DM you?
Sure!
