Based on your comment, it sounds like a mismatch in workplace fit with the kind of environment you're looking for.
You're asking a great question, but if you feel that you have to navigate politics and are afraid to speak up because of backlash, then are you in the right place?
Deep thinking? That doesn’t exactly jive with the bonus incentives, I’m afraid. Sell baby, sell!
All the assets you highlighted are exactly opposite of what leadership values. Focus on shareholder value and you’ll thrive.
Next, make friends in high places. Attach anchor to a riser. All boats rise, certainly the case at IPG.
I do but not the perfect way- implementing slowly my way of thinking into others so they think often my ideas are theirs…
It's tough at Publicis. They will push internal solutions and have a team specifically to do so. My best advice is to explain why other avenues are better for the client and therefore retention of the business. Or, (and this drove me crazy, but worked), make your boss think it's their idea and let them take the credit/go to bat for it.
