Any thoughts on when it's OK to ask for a transfer within your agency? I'm a PD for parents in child welfare cases. I started in September 2021 after clerking for a year while studying and passing the bar. When I took this job it was not clear that it was all remote and I'm pretty miserable working in insolation. The regular criminal division is in person, at least to the extent that their hearings are in person. People ask for transfers all the time just not usually this early.

Working on a divorce where the father is claiming that he is unemployed because of the previous administration’s actions with DACA (he was brought to the States as a child). I know that the memo rescinding DACA was ultimately vacated—but OC is unsure whether this would count as voluntary unemployment for child support purposes. What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now.
