As a resident of the city, you can get free or reduced cost admissions to some museums, including the Met if you get an NYC ID. However, museums are really struggling right now, so if there is one you are particularly fond of, become a member! There are lots of perks of membership to museums, including special previews for exhibits, guest passes, and invited tom parties and fundraisers.
We are lucky to have some of the best museums in the world in our back yard. Consider supporting them!
