Hello, I’ve been doing litigation for 6 years. I truly hate it and I’m wondering how difficult it would be to transfer to a different type of law (possibly at the same firm)? What is the least stressful paralegal role? Or what other types of jobs can I get to avoid billable hours and over the top stress? Help please, I need a more sustainable job that I actually like. Litigation is too chaotic for my personality.

I currently work at EY in tax doing a lot of provision work with a lot of different clients. I was looking into a position at KPMG that is closer to my house for internal tax compliance. Do people think that internal tax compliance might be less hectic and more predictable? I’m that I’d have just one client, KPMG?

Surprisingly I was shortlisted for an entry level contract BA role with meta and was sent a coderpad sql test. Any tips or tricks on what to expect? I’ve used sql very briefly in a previous role doing extractions and what not. Nothing super technical sooo I’m in major panic mode right now.

How can I increase my motivation to make a career jump? Incredibly lethargic in the present - my job has gotten so comfortable, yet boring. I also do not have clear goals (ie. x role by x date, x savings by x time), but do want to continue learning and exploring. Asking advice from a recruiter: I’ve been recently laid off :( This week I took some time to reflect, talk to friends and family. Hey! So.. I got promoted yesterday! My first promotion :)
I am happy about it. I have put in a LOT of work in the last couple of months, but at the expense of my physical and mental health.
