Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

I look up what programs the business uses and make myself feel comfortable with the product. This morning I had an interview at 10a and I researched the business on YouTube. Many companies produce vids of initiatives online so I viewed the profile and gained new understanding. This was with my present employer but completely different business product
From what I’ve learnt from aggressively interviewing the past few months, practice goes a long way. You could research the list of standard questions they’ll ask you based on your role and be prepared with your responses.
Writing those responses also helps in remembering and having clarity during those calls.
Pausing during the interview and rephrasing a question might actually make you sound more confident.
I am a media trainer and I regularly help people prepare for job interviews - just 2 hours online. Lots of people have told me it is game changing. I am in the UK but consider working with a media trainer that normally prepares people for TV and radio interviews, and who'll help you with content as well as how you come across. Best if they use a video camera or can record online. Good luck.
