Does Natwest bank pay as competitive as Morgan Stanley Deutsche Bank. I mean Associate in MS and DB ranges from 20 to 30 lakh. However when I tried applying to Natwest expecting 40% hike (30 lpa) on current pay of 21 lakh. They straightway rejected me and said its not in their budget. Is there any financial firm which can pay as competitive to Mumbai banks. Barclays Deutsche Bank Natwest group BlackRock

I haven’t had any luck with referrals personally, all my FAANG interviews have been via LinkedIn/career portal. Taking a shotgun approach with apps seems to be a better use of time than tailoring to individual companies though
Thanks for your response. I was curious before cold applying but that makes sense.
Referral was how I got my gig
If you can get someone more senior to refer you I believe that you automatically get a phone screen (you might also have to qualify for a senior ic role?). Anyway, if you want to send me your resume and a job post you think you are a good fit for i'll review and probably refer.
Got a random referral at google by reaching out to people who went to my Alma mater, previous company. 1% response rate, but the one guy who gave me the referral without knowing me got me the job.
This is actually a great idea. Thank you for sharing! And hope you’re enjoying it over there :)
Referrals are the way to go imo. That being said I never got an interview with them haha. A recruiter got in touch with me so I was lucky enough. But a referral at least ensures you will get a response. Otherwise its most often a ghost.
If you don’t know anyone in the company, cold message people on linkedin (maybe someone at faang that went to your school, that you can connect over). Dont ask for a referral straight away. Tell them you are looking to apply for X role and would welcome tips. Sometimes they will offer to review your CV (as they did with me) and referral as well.
This is a great idea. I’ll give that a try. 😊 thanks so much!
FAANG or MAANG? 😵💫
I’ll take either 😅
