Currently in audit and want to switch to transaction services. I’m a senior now and an offer from accounting advisory just came in. I tried applying to TAS but no returns from it. Will it be easier to switch to TAS from accounting advisory?

What does international tax group do day-to-day at a big four (heard could be more compliance work)? Will you actually learn the rules on subpart F, GILTY, FDII etc.? And is the workload more constant compared to M&A?

Thoughts on the Technology Strategy and Advisory group? What sort of projects / roles would a consultant take on? Wlb?

Anyone who has started up a side hustle whilst working in consulting - is it generally a good idea to let your employer know or will they make your life difficult/try to push you out if they know?

(Context - I need the extra income to have a shot at affording grad school, I work for a small boutique, job contract was ambiguous on the issue. Side hustle is selling stuff I make as a hobby on Amazon)

Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with.
