Top 10 restaurant in this country. Also extremely expensive. I think I spent $800 for two people on the omakase + wine pairings after tax and tip
Sheesh. Do you have to do the pairings or can i just get a beer or two if i want it?
Be prepared to spend a lot of money and have an absolutely amazing meal! Really, really good!
Been a few times. Would highly recommend
In my opinion, that restaurant has been overhyped. I recommend visiting Toraya Sushi in Arlington. It is a family-owned (from Hokkaido) business that has been serving sushi for decades. Although they relocated their location after the COVID-19 pandemic, the same team remains dedicated to providing exceptional sushi. The restaurant is conveniently located near a Japanese community center, attracting a diverse clientele of regular Japanese customers.
Look fam, I can +1 this ya feel
I really enjoyed it, but if you prefer traditional sushi you might prefer a different omakase spot. O Ya definitely makes unique items. It’s like art.
Insanely good, but also insanely expensive
I thought it was very good — but not elite among sushi places I've been nationwide
That said, I think it has the most consistency of high quality cuts across all fish types of any restaurant in Boston (whereas Oiishi has amazing salmon, but less great tuna etc.)
I think I’m the only one that ever went there and didn’t like it. BUT I’m a picky eater and not typically a sushi eater. Everyone else in my group thought it was great.
