Long Beach, IN. Just over an hour from Chicago and best beaches around (as long as water levels aren’t super high again). Look into Beachwalk community (or nearby). Great for families.

New Buffalo or St Joes in Michigan are other options driving from Chicago

South haven Michigan is very nice and sort of close for everyone except for mn. You can rent a very nice house right by the beach and town area

Appreciate the Rec will look into it

I’ve done trips to places like St. Louis, Quad Cities, Cincy, Detroit (Greenfield Village is awesome for kids), and Indy. Good value for money, kids love it, hotel points go far, and each of these has lots of museums and diversions

I live in Minneapolis, you would have fun here

Nice anywhere specific you’d recommend? We’d prob try to rent a lake house or airbnb somewhere near water/hiking but not too far from city

Cleveland is a blast in the summer.

Been wanting to check out Cleveland. Any specific neighborhood you’d recommend that’s close to the water and has outdoorsy stuff to do but not too far from city

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
I’m really struggling handling the symptoms and maintaining my full time job. Thinking about looking for a part time job to have more time to myself through the pregnancy since I won’t be getting a paid leave anyways, but lost on where to start looking. Any recommendations?
