Walk more and do more core exercises
Wearing high heels will also give you back pain.
I think I may have figured out the problem. Because of where my desk is position compared to my computer, my upper body was slightly twisted compared to my lower body. Fine in the short run, over months and month I think that twist was making the middle of my back hurt. Ha ha, seems obviously dumb now and I have adjusted my seating position. We'll see if that solves it.
No. If anything, it would be my lower back that was in pain. Do you workout, do back exercises?
Its started for me also, lower back. I need to start doing 10 minute walks a few times a day.
Try to gauge your posture while sitting. If you are feeling it in your middle back rather than lower back you may be hunching forward and rolling your back while focusing and viewing your work. I had to train myself to sit up straight in my chair and adjust my monitors as needed to improve ease of viewing. It's easier now with everything digital. Back in the beginning of career with more paper and binder work at my desk it was an issue of being hunched over my desk too much.
Take a few minutes and do some back stretching. Also, buy a thing [forgot what its called] to curve your back into its correct posture.
My problem was stretching my neck.... had to work on that, same concept with the stretching tho
It’s not your back…it’s tight hip flexors from sitting all day that’s causing the back pain. I spent 4 mos in PT to undo all the tightness
Interesting. What kind of stuff did they have you doing?
Pretty sure I have that is another issue I have related to my lower back. I need to address a few things because this is making me feel so old.
Sitting is the new smoking (per my back dr and PT).
