Anyone else struggling to utilise AI due to client data privacy concerns? Tools like Cowork, Claude for Excel / PowerPoint, etc. are strictly off limits - even with Enterprise. Anonymous, generic GPT / Claude prompts are fine but this is very 2023. I feel like I’m falling behind. Anyone else experiencing similar? (I’m not at B4 / MBB or similar with the scale to build competitive internal tools.)

Definitely falling behind. 1) AI can whip up an entire application for a mere non dev like me. 2) A few senior devs are each acting as entire agile teams. 3) The very first step in analysis is providing a file dump to AI now.

To be clear, we don’t have (good) internal tools…we use ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, so feels like a problem solvable by policy vs needing scale.

But then you have enterprise licensed version of all three right? Maybe OP is referring to scale because it helps to pay for multiple licenses per person?

Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.

Additional Posts in Consulting

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
