Cognizant Hi, I'm having interview in soprasteria for dot net developer. I'm having 5.9 yrs experience. Anybody know what will be the interview process, how many rounds & will it be difficult or medium? I'm currently working in cognizant with 6.2 as CTC. Pls don't ask about my CCTC as I'm not in right frame of mind. I was cheated here and desparate to move. Currently holding tcs offer of 9.7. So, how much can I ask here if selected for my tech & experience. Tata consultancy sevices Infosys Wipro IBM
Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Isn’t sad we need to do that after 35?
When senior or very experienced, only put most recent 10-15 years or most relevant jobs only (in which case, title the section Relevant Work Experience).
Was applying to Facebook a few years ago for a position I was clearly qualified for as it was my career focus for the past 8+ years (I’m 42 and have been actively working in advertising since 2000.) Never got a single reply back from them and was starting to get really frustrated. Then I went into my Facebook account and dropped my age back five years and guess what, started getting calls from their recruiters about a week later. #funtimes
Just fine. I’m clearly not 35, but they like the work, so I’m good. Put a few staff jobs under “freelance”, no year of college graduation. No problem.
I do chop my resume down so it’s easier to read. Anytime you leave graduation year off resume recruiters know you are likely over 40. I do it. But I still do get some calls on 10+ years experience roles.
I add 15 years to my age and everyone tells me how great I look...
Depends on context, though. Are you trying to hide age to avoid ageism or to fit resume and most recent experience on one page? Nobody cares or reads jobs more than 10 years old if your most recent 10-15 years shown already qualify you for the position. Also, they'll immediately look you up on LinkedIn where you're free to put your entire work history ever if you wish and feel it's meaningful / helpful / relevant to what you're doing now. It depends on the objective you're after
Well, it’s a combination of avoiding the ageism and also expanding the pool of possible opportunities. I have 20 years of experience but keep hearing that I’m “overqualified” or too expensive or, most frequently, that they’re “going with someone more junior.” One shop actually said “We’re basically looking for you, but you from ten years ago.” And I notice a lot of ghosting after initial conversations with recruiters who are in their late 20s or early 30s. So my theory is maybe I should just present myself in my resume and in all my profiles as being 10 years younger...
I have, it honestly doesn’t seem to have made a difference one way or the other.
