Yes. First Saturday felt like Sunday, then today we finally got into a great groove of relaxing, chores, house projects, and workouts - I’m not get ready to get back into it tomorrow

No this horrific weekend will live in my memory as my worst weekend ever. I am in midtown NY and it’s clear a bunch of cafes and restaurants on my block will close. Grand Central is empty. I am starting a new project tomorrow but can’t go to the client site. I really wish for this “weekend” to be over.

Bain & Company Is there a cool down at Bain even if you don’t make it past the resume screen? Applied a couple months ago on a whim (and a referral from a friend) having no experience with anything business/consulting related as a lateral (only had experience in research prior). Since then have had 2 months at a t2 firm plus some biz dev for a startup. I’m aiming to reapply at 6 months. How to go from “I want to go for early promo” convos to “I am burned out and need a break” without “burning the bridge” with leadership? I have always been a strong performer, my reviews are all perfect and the feedback I got from my coach and account leaders was to go for early promo next year - started talks accordingly.
