McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

Do it! The firm will survive without you, so you have to choose yourself. Just leave on good terms since everyone in consulting ends up working together eventually—but definitely make the move!
If you break down they’ll still have to pick up the workload, just in a more chaotic way
You are not as irreplaceable as you think you are. The ED will find someone else within 2 days. This is not a 2 week DD. It’s a months long study.
Echoing mck1 - I had the same thoughts as you op and was very clearly shown how easily replaced I am. It was a kick in the face and I know now to never put corporate needs above my own health
No one will remember you after 10 days. You’re not irreplaceable.
However, I will say - Job market is bad. Try taking short term disability or just take a week or two off and see how you feel.
