I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

In some companies a chief of staff role is the right hand of a ceo and very strategic (usually in line for a director position). You're job usually consists of getting the entire exec committee engaged and aligned. Usually you'd have a couple projects as well. In other companies it's really a glorified EA. If the former you'd want 5-10 YOE.
Yeah. I’ve seen that at hospitals where a COS ( usually a director) moves to a VP role under that C suite after 3-5 years. It’s a proving ground for lots of up and coming leaders. Another role is Director’s of Special Projects
There are also COS roles for large firms (at banks) where you’re on the “COS” team for a c suite exec. I think they do more transformation related projects
So for someone with 3 YOE this sounds like a fairly attractive exit then?
Could be a good way to get in and network with the senior leaders and have them place you.
