CGI or CACI? CGI: 107k base, match50% up to 4% max of $2500, health deductible is 2k 🙃 i believe annual raise is 2% (at most). Or stay at CACI: 86k, match50% up to 8%, deductible is 600, annual raise 3%.

What’s a realistic amount to save on 130K of gross earnings per year assuming no loans and your goal is to save? I would imagine it’s (assuming HCOL) 85K net - (1.5K a month plus 100ish for utilities) 20K a year, 10K on necessities like food(mix of eating out/in, car insurance, gas, phone), 5-10K on luxuries like vacations, nice-to-have clothes, subscriptions, miscellaneous. This would net to 45K-50K saved a year right? What are your thoughts? Any costs I’m grossly underestimating/missing?

What kind of cell phone/internet reimbursement programs do your organizations offer? Any WFH stipends or other COVID related perks you've seen? I keep hearing from sellers they get all these things covered but no one else in the organization does, yet we all have to work from home and pay for these things anyway... like I'd for sure have a phone and internet even if I worked in a different field, job, etc...

Tip for young ones looking to go to BSchool. Put all your money in traditional 401k. Then when you go to bschool, and have zero wages for that year (maybe the internship), convert to Roth with very low income tax. Tax arbitrage right there! 💸💸💸

Where do you work, and what educational benefits does your employer provide? Currently working full time and taking some classes toward my master’s. I’ve been at my firm for a little over 2 years as it was my first gig out of undergrad. It provides an annual stipend for education, but I’m bored, unchallenged, unfulfilled, and underpaid. I want to explore what other companies offer to make an educated decision as to whether I should go elsewhere. TIA!

MD or MBA? I got into both. I know most will say choose the MD, but hear me out: MD: I'd have to go into a specialty to have a good IRR given my salary & the $200K+ debt. By the time I'd be done with residency the US may be in a single payer system. US doctors make 3x the amount in France and 2x vs UK.. I currently make what a doctor makes in France. That could be the future here, too. MBA: 1 yr. Europe. I'd make about 15-20% more vs. now.
