Want to negotiate salary at an AMLAW200 firm in atlanta. Not a lot of public information about what peer firms (ie, not NY lockstep firms matching cravath scale) pay. What are mid-senior level associates making in Atlanta?

Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour. Want to get a sense check. Typical English firm salaries in London are about 70% Cravath (unless you're at one of the US firms that benchmarks to Cravath scale offices). 2PQE is around 165k USD + 30k bonus assuming 1800 billables. So comparing at a firm where you roughly bill 1900-2000 a year, you lose out, but if you bill 2200+, that's comparable?

Thinking aloud here - if you can find that 2000-billing firm, no sense staying in that payscale unless you have a shot at equity?

How do you navigate when you've already accepted an offer, but you get a better one? I'm supposed to start a new role tomorrow but got an offer for the job I really wanted, and it pays 50k more. Is it horrible if I quit while having just started?
