My H1B expires next August meaning I’m eligible to file for extension in February. I plan to travel in the summer (between June and August) but I don’t have a visa stamp and would like to get ahead by getting an appointment now but for the summer.

If I get the appointment with my current H1B and then get H1B extension approval next March or April, will I be able to use the extension for my visa stamp or will I need to go through a different application process and get a different appointment?

The Home Office releases on the new PBS immigration policy in the UK mention removal of cooling off period for shifting from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General visa. Does anyone know if this is only for new Tier 2 ICT visa folks or would this applying to existing Tier 2 visa holders too?
