There was 1 month of silence once I spoke to the recruiter for initial convo. But after a month - all 4 rounds completed in 2 weeks and they released offer in 2 weeks - as my skill is very hot and PwC is beginner in that space + I joined as a D. Otherwise - it should take 2-3 months from start to offer + 1 month to file the H1B.
You can start working once the package gets delivered (with DHL/FedEx Receipt), but recommended to wait till approval OR at least till you get the H1B Receipt #. Once package couriered - dhl/fedex receipt takes 1/2 days - uscis sends receipt# in 1 day via email for premium or 3 days via hard copy for regular - approval takes 2 weeks in premium OR 6 months in regular without any RFE or 9/12 months in regular with 1 RFE.
PwC is very good and the best in H1B/GC perspective. PwC always pays for the premium. But I choose Regular (Attorney also recommended) because it gives you to work at least 9-12 months even with RFE or Denial. PwC refiles also if denial. RFE is guaranteed with all applications now a days and denial is 50:50.

Ok I have this question as well, so following.
PwC OP don’t kill me for the slight digression in topic, but if I may also ask - how much time did the application process take, from the time you applied, interview to the final offer? And did they give you the option to pay for premium if that’s your preference and they did not want to pay? Also - did you start working once you got the receipt or the approval? How long did that take (either receipt or approval)?
You are awesome OP! Thank you so much for the detailed response - I’m very new to this and this is extremely helpful. Thank You!! :)
Yes..valid stamp is good enough for port of entry
You are good for travel.
If you leave the country while the application is in process, the i797 will come without an i94. The change of status will also get rejected (if you are changing status)
Op what's your skill, that you got recruited for?
SA1 - But I will be back to US in 2 weeks. Also, are you saying that, no one travels while the transfer is in progress ??? Now a days Regular processing takes 9/12 months + , absolute no travel during this time ??
Guys - any thoughts on SA1’s comments ?
@OP: To be honest, what SA1 said was my understanding too but wasn’t 100% sure so didn’t want to mislead you.
Not a good idea, as soon as the PIMS db gets updates and you have the older visa, the immigration officer may detain you at the border
Yes, what SA1 and D1 said. Do not travel whilst visa transfer is in progress. Get it done in Premium.
