I was recently fired on a random afternoon with no cause for dismissal, and immediately logged out.
I worked for a fintech company for 10 months - straight out of university. I struggled to settle as I was instantly siloed and had a manager who maintained distance, and portrayed traits of emotional abuse/bullying.
I found myself mentors, contacted HR to present a new PD plan and was fired minutes later. I’m unsure what to do, but it doesn’t seem legal. I’m in the UK, what can I do?

How many times have you been laid off? I’m seeing a lot of people describe getting laid off 2 or 3 or even 4 times in their careers...should I just expect to get laid off every couple of years in advertising?

I was affected by layoffs about a month ago and urgently looking for a good immigration lawyer. The lawyer should be experienced in handling this 60 day grace period situation and developing alternate strategies - such as change of status to B1/B2 or applying to jobs from India. I was a month in as Workday HCM Consultant with Accenture. They immediately throw me into the HCM courses to obtain my WD HCM certification. There are three parts HCM Essentials, HCM Applied, and HCM Practical. The passing score is 70 or above. I scored a 62 on the Essentials portion, I passed Applied, and at the end of this week Practical. During class, I received an “immediate connect” Team call and I was fired because of my low score. I'm devastated, and shocked. Yesterday was my birthday.

Hey all - I wanted to ask if anyone has ever felt that things were not going to work out. I was a consultant for a T3 consulting firm and, despite excellent reviews was laid off without warning. I went to a startup like company in Texas and was under an abusive boss where I worked over 85+ hours and could not afford an apartment. I left to keep my sanity. I am told that I am highly skilled and have the capacity to be one of the best but I keep failing. I am 26 and my career feels like purgatory.
