I am interested in PWC' international QS group. They currently have a senior position listed out. I need some advice on applying for that position. Is there anyone currently in that group here?
An eternal recruiter reached out to me a couple of months ago about a position at an agency. They ended up putting it on hold. I noticed this agency posted a position I could go for this week. Should I run it by that recruiter for an intro/way in?
For people who live alone, how are you staying motivated? I’ve been feeling more depressed lately and really need some advice to get through this whole wfh thing
Has anyone ever interviewed for an entry level role, but were offered a higher level role based on the interviews and experience? If so, what did you do or say? Context in comments.
So, work from home, mindless spreadsheet work, no more meetings today. Acceptable to have a beer or two while I slog through?
Is doing freelance work on the side (when I’m off the clock, of course) considered taboo? Considering signing up for Fiverr to make some fun money but I don’t want any bad blood with my current job because I really like it and am not planning on leaving any time soon. (Sorry if this is a dumb question, this is my first copywriting job out of college and I’ve been 100% remote, so it’s hard to get a feel for things like this!)
Any in house at a F50 and not get a bonus or equity for a senior counsel role, 10+ years experience? Base salary is decent but also heard same with bonus and equity at every other company I’ve talked to. This is what I’ve been told for a position I had one interview for. May cancel the others.
Had many rounds for role in a tech company that I did not end up getting. The hiring manager mentioned that there were more roles in his org and he would be reaching out if the role I applied does not work out. Would it be creepy to reach out and express my interest on other roles ( it has been 2 weeks since I got a reject) ? Really liked the company and the work they are doing.
I currently make $132k and have not had a IRA. Is it worth opening one if I expect my next raise to bring me above $139K (which is the income limit for a single)?
So I've had multiple interviews at a NY agency for an account role. Spoken with the President but felt I didn't do as well as I could. Maybe a bit long winded in parts of my response. The whole vid..
BCG fish I need advice. Currently interviewing for a Consultant level role, they mentioned it was generalist track and it’s located in the south region. If I have experience and an affinity to work within healthcare would I be able to network and get staffed on healthcare engagements regardless of region? Don’t want to get stuck in energy work or another industry if that’s what ends up happening. Boston Consulting Group
I’ve been actively interviewing with this agency. They seem super interested but now they’re dragging their feet. Something tells me they just want to source more candidates and wait. It’s honestly making me lose interest. Thoughts ?
What are people wearing to zoom interviews these days? I have a couple with PE firms coming up and I’m not sure if I should go with the athleisure look or full on suit and tie?
In a predicament folks .. my new employer hired me into a full time role into the US but the immigration team has only done a TN for 10 months due to some administrative mistakes and now the paper work is done. I am working to see how i get this addressed as I cannot even sigh a lease for a 1 year place or lease a car if my status is under 1 year. I am confident they will renew me but it puts me in a jam. Any advice on this? Has anyone seen this?
Hi Fishes, I have an interview next week for a Client Partnerships Manager role at a large entertainment company. I've never actually done a role like this. The focus would be a client partner for Tech, QSR & Finance clients. Can you all provide any insight or tips into this role whether you've done it or partnered with someone who has. Also, what do you consider the media & marketing process to be? And is QSR mean quick service restaurant. I come from the CPG & sale world. Thanks for any input.

I just got an offer and I am planning on putting in my 2 weeks once I pass the background check at my new firm. Looking for advice on what I should be doing as I exit. Hi guys, I am due to start working at EY soon within audit. I will be commuting to the office by train when in the Birmingham office. This will be from Leicester. Usually if a commute is about 1.5 hours+, Mazars authorises hotels. Is there a similar policy at EY? When not in the office I would prefer to drive to clients, not sure if me being in Leicester affects whether they will tell me to suck up an extended commute? Would a mileage claim be from the office to the client? Thanks!
Okay I’m going to say it if hasn’t been said before: I want the option to go back to the office now. I get some of you have kids or prefer wfh but I can’t stand it. I hate being cramped up and some people also live with toxic family members. We should make it optional for those who want/need to come back
BCG 🐠 - I have a Consulting role I’m interested in applying. Would anyone be interested in referring me? DM me Boston Consulting Group
Curious, what's the largest work expense you've ended up taking the hit for? Why weren't you able to expense it?
Just transferred offices and from audit to FAAS a week ago in hopes of working on transactions. However, I also just got to final round interviews with a boutique IB. Would it be a bad career move to exit to IB so soon after all the networking effort I put in to transferring?
*No judgement zone* Just finished reading Expecting Better (LOVED it!) but I’m so curious - how many moms out there actually drank wine or beer while pregnant?? I would LOVE a small glass or two once in a while but I’m nervous.
When figuring out how much money you need to save before retirement, do you follow the 4% rule? Fidelity recommends to play it extra safe and plan for 1.8% (instead of 4) as the annual percentage I can take out from my investments once I retire. Any thoughts on this? What percentage do you guys use?
Does EY offer joining bonus for exp hires when extending an offer? Or should I be negotiating for that?
What advice would you give a early-career new hire trying to navigate inside the inside of a company (onboarding, networking, etc.) in a virtual/WFH environment?
I got the J&J vaccine (only one I could get back in April) and unlike the MRNA vaccines, it looks like there is very little data on how it performs against the Delta variant. Any other J&Jers out there feeling a little nervous?
Real talk 2: if you decide to have children, it’s entirely possible you will not like the child at first (or at various points). It’s a huge decision, and having complex feelings about the matter is completely valid
