Anyone have experience working for Wilshire Law Firm in California? I am particularly interested in their wage and hour group. Turnover appears terrible. Salary seems pretty good though.

I have only had experience with two attorneys in their office, after which I discovered their firm has 1.3 stars and could completely understand why from that interaction.

I don’t know much about the firm but I’ve gone against them and found one of the partners (Thiago) to be very good natured.

I’ve been adverse to them a couple of times and find them to be generally decent. Definitely a lot of turnover - I saw that in both cases I had against them. Seems like a bit of a mill (at least on the single plaintiff side).

What is considered a “large” caseload in employment litigation? I work at a large L&E boutique law firm and handling about 14-15 active litigation cases in state/federal court or arbitration. Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation. Not sure if that’s a typical caseload or not?

Hello, I’m an associate (almost at the one year mark) at a midsize firm on the EPL team. I did about 2 years of employment law as a clerk during school and know that’s what I want to go into. I’ve asked for more EPL work but keep catching PI cases. I second-chaired an employment trial but don’t see any EPL work for the foreseeable future and wasn’t getting as much EPL exposure as I wanted before the trial. Any advice on a lateral move to a bigger firm with a broader range of EPL work?

Need advice - I've been talking to a Partner contact at a big-4 firm where I REALLY want to work. She sent my info to the managing partner in my city, but I haven't heard anything for about 3 weeks. Been playing it cool because I know these things can take time, BUT, I just got let go from my current firm. I have til 12/15 to find a new job.

Do I tell her my timeline is now a month, or is telling them I'm getting fired going to tank my chances of getting the job?
