It’s almost like consulting improved about a year after some came into office, then was ruined about a year after someone left office. It’s the weirdest coincidence. It’s almost like there is a lag effect. We’ll find out for sure in 2026.

What do you all think changed? The obvious answer is chat gpt and increasing rates, but consulting existed for a long time without ZIRP. I guess Chat GPT is the real answer but I can imagine it was a similar experience to consultants when google first was popularized and consultants obviously thrived past that.

Hi everyone, I have a quick question that’s kind of silly. I work at a pretty small company leading marketing. My title is technically Marketing Lead but I want to put Head of Marketing on my LinkedIn etc. I think of these titles as totally interchangeable—I just like the way the second one reads better. I know titles don’t really matter, but I’m battling a little bit of imposter syndrome.
