Anyone here fly in/out of DCA or IAD within the last month or so? Trying to get a feel for which airport may be better with COVID in terms of less people, better sanitation, rule following etc. Also, I’ve heard Delta is the better airline at the moment but where I’m headed I can only take United or AA (for nonstop)- anyone recommend one over the other?

I was just in and out of IAD last week on United. United was requiring masks on the flight except for when eating or drinking and they only did drink service on one of the flights (same flight time each way so idk why they were different). Inside the airport was pretty empty, people were sitting quite spread out inside the airport and almost all wearing masks (baring those eating). Hope that helps!

Hey! I flew AA to Florida (eep!) And it was terribly packed and they were extremely lax about mask use on the flight. Coming back, the flight was emptier. I also took a Southwest flight to kansas. They enforced seat blocking and mask usage. As far as DCA goes, they're pretty strict about mask usage and distancing atm. Not sure about IAD

I flew out of IAD and felt very safe in the airport! Good mask compliance, social distanced TSA, not crowded at all. Flights will depend on which flight/airline but airport wise reminded me of grocery stores

How to deal with change? 1 year out of college and living with 3 of my best friends, just talked about living together for next year but they are all moving to new cities. Another friend is moving to my city so I’ll be living with them but I can’t help but feel a little lonely/like a huge stage of my life is over. Any tips for dealing with this change? I guess I also feel a little guilty because I’m pretty covid conservative so I’ve turned down social outings this past year because of that.

Just lost my 2nd H1b lottery. Have 1 year left on visa and 1 lottery left. Do any firms out there sponsor for Greencard before you have an H1b? I have an interview for social media strategist with a rising DTC startup in NYC. I’m feeling imposter syndrome, since I’ve never marketed such a big, hip company. What books can I read or courses can I take to come into the interview solid and prepared? Most of my marketing theory is based on Seth Godin books and reading psychology.

Question for you all: Left D to Company A for a 50% raise in TC and slated to start in <1 week. However, just got an offer at Company B for a 100% raise in TC compared to D, or 30% raise in TC compared to company A. Both firms do similar work but B provides a more solid comp package. Job duties would be relatively similar. Is the % jump worth burning the bridge? Would have chosen Company B if the offer came sooner but the % difference in A to B is at my [personal] 30% threshold. TIA!
