Anyone here have a serious creative pursuit /hobby outside of work? And if so, what is it and how do you manage to keep it up with the consultant schedule?

To my writers/content creators and alike, how much do you charge to write content for someone? And do you charge them hourly or by cents per word? I’ve been offered a small contract for 10 hours per week and not sure what my rate should be or how I should set it up

1) stay in my company to quickly become BD Director and then exit (however my learning opportunities within my current company might be limited)
2) go do consulting for a few years
3) any other recommendations?
