I co-lead a sub team of 8 ppl in a small sized non-profit. Overall it's been both challenging and rewarding. I had to be very self disciplined to make time for both work and non-profit. Knowing that I'm working hard for a good cause really motivates me to be more productive at work though. Of course as I take more responsibilities with my own job I'll need to reevaluate my outside commitment but it's a positive experience and I highly recommend any traveling consultant to pursue something you value. In the end your identity and your life is not bounded by the title
My creative pursuit outside of work is making babies. Two so far. My hobbies center around dealing with their tantrums. Whatever time that is left I try to read. Usually fall asleep after reading a couple of pages. And two weeks later return the unfinished book to library.
I drink and I know things.
On and off with photography
Writing. I set aside 1 hour a day to write. I do editing and the drudgery part when I am traveling. Trains and planes are great places for that.

Judo/jujitsu. Find awesome dojos close to the client site
Happy to see some of us have loves outside of work and didnt say "brunch or the gym" i myself play a number of instruments but find that a little more challenging to keep up on a travel assignment. Have considered buying a "burner" guitar to keep at client
Racing. I spend Saturdays in my garage away from my phone.
Powerlifting and electronic music production. The lifting is easy because I've been doing it for years, so my synapses do all the work. Learning Ableton Live from scratch and how to develop a good production workflow has been another story. Learning things is hard at 31...
Latin dancing. I'm on a performance team that learns choreography to salsa and bachata music and travels to perform throughout the USA. The dancing is a great way to meet new people, destress in a creative way, and build a group of close friends outside of work
Salsa dancing when my girlfriend visits and 3D modeling at home on weekends.
Same, I travel with my camera and try to go out exploring and photograph the cities I visit
I spend hours running and biking when I am not injured. A great way to destress and enjoy time outside in sunny California
Firefighting and EMT. It's all about knowing when you need to attend training and meetings so that you can schedule client visits appropriately. My hobby does help me keep things in the proper perspective. (Clearly anyone who knows me, knows exactly who I am)
A3 - please tell me your screenplay is about consulting, or maybe a fictional story about an assassin who takes a job in a consulting firm and schedules hits based on travel location and client schedule so the alibi is solid....
