Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.

Only worried about that if I continue here, in process of learning ruby I might have unlearn java. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. Because you didn't want it anymore or it was beyond its useful life, kinda like an old car... it's old, rusty and needs more maintainence than it provides useful transportation, it's in the repair shop more often... everytime it goes in you find something else wrong with it? Plus, the prices the buyers are willing to pay are outrageous, by the time you get it paid off it's in the junk yard. No easy solution to building a sustainable business except hard, persistent work.
