I feel I’m going this alone in the community, in the kids’ schools, at work. I don’t have family near me - just husband and I trying to navigate the hate and ignorance together and separately. Open to suggestions. While we have a great mosque, this isn’t where they are active. Ps We aren’t being directly targeted. Mostly subtle until it’s not. TIA

Not sure about variable payout but will have to let go off the joining bonus and hike for sure.

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?

The older I get and the more I think about raising my own children, I keep thinking how can parents frame religious duties like fasting as something to look forward to. I think volunteering as a family can help install the value of giving back and zakaat. How can one make Ramadan and Eid something to look forward to when holidays like Christmas seem to be purely joyous occasion that one doesn’t have to put in work for like fasting for Ramadan?

So if i sell it i can’t take full profits since i don’t own it outright. I’m considering Islamic financing but have so many questions about it. Can you take an equity line?
