anyone notice in your respective region that there was a decent amount of "jobs" available two weeks ago and there is little to none now ?

I’m in New England and there was a decent amount (none that I was interested in, but there were “jobs” posted), then suddenly nothing

I'm from the west. There hasn' been much in the past 2-3 months.

I’m in SoCal. I think it depends on the type of law. In family law there’s a big shortage of qualified family law paralegals and family law associates.

I also see some of the same jobs, it looks like a scam to me.

Im in the mid south. I find there is not much movement in the summer bc people are taking vacations. It picks up again when the kids go back to school. It falls off again in December when people stick around for Christmas bonuses and pay increases.

I'm my area available spots will be large, and then gone. And within a couple weeks the same ones are back. I have interviewed for a few and learned rather early why.

Additional Posts in Paralegals

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.

I’m interviewing with another firm next week. Has anyone made a switch like that before? How did you do it? I work in a small criminal firm now. Interview is with a same size/practice area firm.

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

So I have my bachelors in criminal justice and I just finished my paralegal certificate course today. My attorney should be making partner this year. With that being said I told her that I would complete my certificate by the summer around the time she would make partner. Should I mention to her Monday that I completed my paralegal certificate in hopes that the raise will be bigger or should I wait until June when she makes partner.thoughts?
