I interned two places. One was a shit show where they brought in every family member regardless of competence. They showed up in their luxury cars and didn’t have a clue as to how to work effectively. Another was a family business where only those in the family that went to school, got the skills, and worked hard were there. Vastly different experiences. Overall, I prefer a big firm. Way better benefits, resources, and opportunities
Working for almost any family business, it's you against them. No matter what happened, it's your fault not the family member. Run!
