Do you mean for like deeds? I don’t think ever - the issue being lenders (who don’t know how law works) and scammers who coerce folks into surrendering deeds.
Many times it’s a state law issue. Georgia for instance has a strict wet signature requirement for conveyances (attestation too). Slowly the landscape is changing with remote notarization laws in half the states but I don’t see the market demanding it as much. Probably should be different standards for residential v. CRE.
