Hi Techies,
I want to know that where should move/upskill from networking routing switching to other domains to get more salary.
I feels that networking industry doesn't have deep pocket like others.
Any suggestions of technology/domain?

Hi Fishers, I have accepted Walmart offer and my BGV has started 3 weeks ago. How do I check my BGV status? I will be joining in mid May. Also, I have been hiding one of the company where I had worked for 45 days and then absconded due to personal issues. Would it create any trouble? They had created my PF account though. Any help would be highly appreciated
I got an offer from another company. Currently working in walmart. The main idea behind getting an offer is to ask for a salary rise. I was very much underpaid here. So I thought getting an offer will help increase my pay here in walmart by getting counter offer from them. But i am not sure if I discuss with my manager it will backfire me.Walmart

There is a fixed budget for hiring and a standard base range now for each role. Unless you are absolutely needed for the role they will filter out at the first round itself if you are over range.
Thanks for your response. Market is indeed bad
For IN-4, this is the base in walmart
At IN-4, base is 50 and having 9 years of experience. So yes, Walmart is lowballing you.
Walmart is not low-balling. They are correct. The base is now reduced at all levels due to consolidation. Grade H is no longer given to senior folks, it will only offered to folks who are 6-7 years experienced at max. So the salary is also reduced to 35-36 max because the minimum experience required in each grade for promotion is now 2 years. So, factoring in hikes of atleast 7-8%, if you have a base of 36 now you'll reach 38.88 in one year and 42 in two years, which is the starting salary of Grade G.
My current is 25 fixed, 2.5l variable
Only concern is stock will start after 1 yr
So should get atleast 32-33l base
