Anyone have insights into Zions investment bank?
Hi Team, Can someone advise on this - I completed 2 rounds with Infosys, 1 technical and 1 managerial. Right after the managerial round I got email from HR to fill an application form and give other details. It has been 3 days since then and no update. On the portal it is showing 3 interviews as green and in review data in yellow. What does this mean? Tech - DevOps / 5.8 years Infosys

Pipeline strategy = boutiques / ClearView. Limited money there. McKinsey and BCG do some when money or markets get tight but at the BU level not brand. Analytics = fancy word for market research, which is kind of bottom feeder work (unless you’re referring to commercial analytics, which is commercial operations, which is ZS).
LEK is struggling. Mostly focus on financial modeling. Market focused on PE and financial sponsors. Do some big pharma but underpenetrated. Will do pipeline work for the emerging companies but better at deal values / financials than assumptions in said models.
You got me. I guess I’ve caught myself in a circular argument. Companies dependent on pipeline are disproportionately dependent on biotech and are thus disproportionately struggling.
Separately, LEK and ClearView (and places like Alvarez and Marsal) are mostly eat what you kill comp systems which make for particularly horrible environments when the money slows down. There’s always a tendency to screw the staff because all the senior people are basically competing for staff from each other versus there being some grander goal than making money for yourself. It becomes ruthless when money is tighter and the staff pays. That’s why both are hard WLB grinders. But I digress.
We do a lot of portfolio/pipeline strat (my entire vertical is focused on pipeline & launch strategy) however we do have a lot of proposals for which we bid against MB. Would take Guidehouse 1’s comments with a grain of salt - everyone is bidding everywhere nowadays (though agree to the point on LEK struggling with sufficient CDD work nowadays)
