one thing you still hold on to
Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

You pick the one where you like people the most, and not just any people, but those who will be working you daily.
EY mic drop.
I worked at both. I only left D bc I was making homegrown money vs the 100% raise/promo I got from EY when the recruiter poached me. D has much better internal apps/sites and has a much better/looser expensing policy (exception being EY gives you 75% reimbursement for Well Being subsidy whereas D only gives you 50%, but more things are covered at D). I feel like the people I work with at EY are more chill but this is 100% project/business line dependent rather than EY vs D as a whole. All things equal id probably choose D esp if travel aka expensing is coming back
Like some of this may be project dependent but like I never had an dollar limit on breakfast, *lunch*, dinner, or snacks and expenses under $75 never needed a receipt, I could just book whatever flight I wanted and if there was a cheaper one just say it “didn’t meet mission requirements”, the whole thing about well being covering more things like apple watches and gaming consoles at D, like I never stressed out at D about expensing. At EY I cant even submit a $25 phone/internet expense without getting audited. I literally did it for one month then never bothered again, I still didn’t even submit a reimbursement for tax software and I probably won’t at this point
EY because EY M = D SC and i don’t want to do more work for the same pay at D
I couldn’t put my thoughts into words! Thanks for doing that
How is that possible. I think Deloitte definitely pays better than EY.
Which practice is this?
ey if you like your life.
Both offered 175k +10k sign on? That’s ironic. Did you negotiate offers or did they just come back with identical numbers?
One matched the other
EY
Deloitte.
I think Deloitte has better year end bonuses. You should ask around about that.
