Are my InMail messages getting lost into the abyss? This keeps happening:

1. I see a recruiter post for a freelance need
2. I send an InMail message (default option since I pay for premium)
3. After 6 hrs of silence I get antsy + send recruiter a connection request
4. They ACCEPT my request but never respond to the InMail message (*this combo is the odd part)

I assume this is due to how the recruiter’s inbox displays (“Focused” in LI terms.) Anyone know what’s going on here? Workarounds?

My friend invited me to hang out with her and her friends because I was feeling very sad about my breakup. Three of her friends end up hitting on me and just really invading my personal space. I’m reviewing my resume getting ready to start my job search and have a question for recruiters, hiring managers. I’m looking for a role brand-side not agency side. Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? Have an offer from a dream company but I'll need to go in at a lower level. Knowing that I can bring a lot of value to the company (read- I know my worth), I negotiated with the hiring manager to have a level/comp review 6 months after employment. If I hit all my goals (ie, prove myself) within that time frame, I'll get a promotion and salary adjustment.
QUESTIONS:
Should this be in writing in the offer letter?
How detailed should it be? I assume I won't know what goals to set till I start...

Hey all, started my role as a recruiter at an agency recently and had my first placement! It was great until the candidate wants to renegotiate the base and benefits after the current company counter-offered when the candidate no longer sees the future. Any tips on what to say to bring back to focus? The current role is a Sr. Acct Receivable (less than 2yr) and going into collections specialist at a global law firm.
