I mean, I live in a whole other state than my employer/job location. I travel there occasionally, partially for training and orientation at the start, now as an opportunity to see the local folks and other remote folks since I would never have in-person time otherwise since we're all over. But I can also go anywhere and work, not just my house, as long as I have solid internet and I stay on normal hours/fill in with PTO when I want to be free (ex: did a Las Vegas workcation earlier this year and started work at 5am PT to match my 8am ET, then stopped at 9/noon for a half day off at home, but full day of vacation)
Interesting. I don't know anyone who is WFH that has that sort of restriction, so it may be more common in some industries than others.
In a word, yes.
I’ve been working a remote job for 2 years and have not set foot in the office
Yes - I think so.. my husband is fully remote and has never had to travel in 1.5 years. I’m fully remote and have had 2 work trips to corporate office in the last 6 months, will probably do 2 more this year.
Yup, I haven’t had to step foot in an office if I didn’t want to for 3 years.
