You ask them to make you whole on your bonus forfeiture. You always pad the numbers. That’s your sign on bonus.
Yes - I asked and explained I was foregoing my annual bonus to come here. My old place paid the bonus in April and the new place in December.
Just moved here but virtually ever firm in US pay good sign on bonuses
